DIY Breakfast – Half Boiled Eggs + Toast Bread

How many of you do your own breakfast ?  I think not many, right?

Sometimes, eating outside foods too often make me bored and less appetites.  So sometimes, I make myself breakfast.  Normally my D.I.Y breakfast are 2 half boiled eggs and 2 pieces of toasted bread with ‘kaya’ and butter.  Although it is not so special, but its good for health and full of nutrition.  Serve with a cup of coffee, wow! is a perfect morning and full of energy.

If you order this breakfast at a local traditional coffee shop, it will cost you :-

  • 2 half boiled eggs = RM 1.60
  • 2 set of toasted bread with kaya and butter = RM 1.40

Want to know, how to make perfect half boiled eggs.  See below

  • 2 fresh farm eggs (I mean ‘Kampung’ chicken eggs – if you can get one)
  • Put the eggs into a jar of boiled water – water  must cover the eggs(mean really boiled – NOT hot only)
  • Cover the jar for 7-8 minutes (if take out too early, eggs will too raw)
  • Served the eggs with soy source and pepper or you can dunk the bread into it.
