Maritime Museum @ Melaka (Malacca) – Part 1

When walk along Quayside road near Melaka(Malacca) river, you will see a very ‘BIG’ ship beside the road.  Yeah, its one of Melaka(Malacca) landmarks – Maritime Museum.  The ship is replica of ‘Flora De La Mar‘ – a Portuguese ship which sank on 26th January 1512 in Straits of Malacca.

The Government of Malacca build this Museum, in order to remind us, once upon a time (Portuguese, Dutch, British era), Melaka(Malacca), was once a very important trading harbour and regional, linking East(China, Japan) and West(India, British, Dutch)See below sign board for explanation
