Chinese New Year – Decoration, Preparation and snacks

Gong Xi Fa Cai! “Red Bull” (Chinese ‘Ox’ year)is coming.  We can hear CNY’s song a long the streets, we can see lanterns are hung every where, and we also see all types of cakes, cookies, snacks are sold every where.

Although, this year the CNY atmosphere is quite slow to heat up, but we still can feel that CNY is around.  I believed Chinese families are now busy preparing their house(cleaning, vacuum, decorating, buying new furniture, windows curtain).  Some of them may now busy making cookies, cakes and snacks.

I snapped some pictures from the little town I stayed to show you, how Malaysians Chinese are celebrating Chinese New Year.

Glutinous rice cake is one of traditional CNY snacks/foods.  Normally, they used it for praying and hand gift for relatives.

I wish all of you have a Happy and Prosperous New Year :)
