Steam Glutinous Rice Cake with Milled Coconut

Although Chinese New Year is already gone almost 2 months ago.  I think some of our Chinese friends family still kept Glutinous rice cake UNTOUCHED.  Some will throw these NOT very nice cake into dustbin.

Don’t waste foods, I will make you a simple and delicious snack from glutinous rice cake.

Ingredients:

  1. Glutinous Rice Cake
  2. Milled Coconut (Buy from market – ready product)
  3. 1/4 tea spoon of salt (Optional) mixed with milled coconut

Method:

  1. Chop the glutinous rice cake into small chunk (2 cm)
  2. Put the glutinous rice cake on a plate
  3. Put the plate into a boiled water and cover it
  4. Steam it for 10-15 minutes(you can use chop stick or fork to test the softness and stickiness)
